Welcome to Ipswich Uniting Church, a young church, drawing on a long legacy, looking forward into the future.
We are committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and discover the abundant life that he offers. We are a community of believers who come from all walks of life, united by our faith in Jesus and our desire to make a positive impact in the world.
At Ipswich Uniting Church we believe that relationships are vital. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and accepted. Whether you’re new to the area or searching for a church home, we look forward to the way that together we can shape a church that is filled with the power and presence of God and relevant
to the people of Ipswich today.
Our mission is to grow together and reach out to make disciples of Christ. We believe that by following Jesus, we can make a difference in the lives of individuals and bring hope to our city and world.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We hope that you’ll take the next step and join us for one of our services or events. We look forward walking alongside you on your journey of faith.

We believe in making it as easy as possible for you to belong. We understand that it can be daunting to join any group of people. We will try to make you feel at home. If there is something particular you need for you to belong, please speak to one of our greeters or a member of the ministry team.

Will I be singled out?

When you arrive one of our team will welcome you. They might introduce you to others and invite you to morning tea. We will ask you for your name and if we can contact you again. We won’t mention you from the front of the church and you won’t be made to stand so everyone can see who you are.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable. We have people who wear shorts, t-shirts, summer dresses and others who wear formal shirts, trousers and dresses. A ball gown would be out of place, but apart from that you won’t be judged.

Do my kids sit with me?

Children are very welcome in all of our services. Our 10:15 am service offers an excellent children’s program that you’ll find they won’t want to miss.

Will I be asked to give money?

Giving money is always a personal response. We no longer pass a plate around during our worship services. We do however, pause during our service to acknowledge the giving of members and to thank God for his blessings in our lives.
